Woman Ignores Extreme Water Slide’s ‘No Women’ Sign And Goes Down It Anyway

A woman boldly decided to try an extreme water slide despite a warning that advised women against using it.

This daring feat took place at Austria’s Area 47 water park, where the slide in question boasts being Europe’s fastest, with speeds reaching up to 50 mph.

Despite the thrill it offers, there’s a specific caution for women due to a “high risk of injury” associated with the slide.

However, Rhiannan Iffland, a world champion diver, chose to overlook this advisory. Her decision and experience became widely shared as a clip went viral.

On TikTok, she posted a video that showed her getting ready at the slide’s entrance, taking a moment of preparation, before diving in.

So, why the ‘No women’ alert? The warning exists because women can potentially face high pressure that might cause an enema, alongside a risk of infections from foreign particles in the water.

The TikTok post quickly gathered comments from other women sharing their personal experiences with such waterslides. One commenter humorously noted, “I got the worst enema on that slide bahhaha you are brave girl,” while another expressed concern, saying, “The number of people not understanding why women aren’t supposed to go on this slide is scary!”

In a statement to news.com.au, Iffland clarified her intentions, saying, “It was never my intent to mock the safety regulations of this water slide. A person’s safety is paramount, and I am constantly weighing up any danger with my job. To suggest otherwise would be wrong.”
