Many folks dream of tying the knot with former One Direction superstar Louis Tomlinson. Imagine the surprise when one brave fan seemed to do just that, leaving Tomlinson none the wiser at first!

This extraordinary tale unfolded while Tomlinson was touring to promote his “Faith In The Future” album. As he traveled the globe, he paused to meet his fans. It was during his Jakarta stop that he had a unique encounter with a fan who goes by the name @ladycryalot on TikTok. She certainly came prepared for her special moment with him.

According to a TikTok post by the fan, her meeting with Tomlinson took an unexpected turn: “So I just got back from the Faith in the Future tour in Jakarta, and I completely lost my voice because I was having such a blast,” she shared. “I went there as a single woman, you know. I didn’t have a boyfriend or fiancé, but I left as a married woman. I am his lawfully wedded wife.”

The fan shared she had Louis sign what appeared to be a marriage certificate adorned with a photo of the both of them. Although Tomlinson noticed the paper wasn’t quite standard, humorously inquiring, “What’s this, some kind of declaration of marriage, is it?” he still went along and signed it. With a twinkle in his eye, he jokingly said he’d have to visit Jakarta more often, “if my wife wants me to.”

Her excitement continued as she explained: “No, I didn’t attend the meet-and-greet, but my friend did. She asked him, ‘Are you coming back to Jakarta?’ and he replied, ‘If my wife wants me to,’ after he signed that paper. Can you believe it? I’m his wife now!”

Even with all the fanfare, it’s worth noting that marriages in Indonesia require an official ceremony to be legally binding. So to all those holding out hope, Tomlinson remains single in the eyes of the law!
