Kai Cenat recently found himself in hot water due to a video that caused quite a stir online. The footage depicted some rather unsettling behavior towards a $70,000 robot owned by the popular social media personality.
The well-known New York-based influencer and leading Twitch streamer caught everyone’s attention when he purchased an advanced robot to assist him in his daily life. Last year, during his ‘Mafiathon 2’ livestream, Cenat showcased the AI assistant, a $24,000 purchase, marveling fans with a video clip of it helping him brush his teeth.

The marathon event spanned 30 days and was live around the clock. It was during this time that the robot mysteriously fell and appeared to have a seizure during a session with singer Chris Brown.
In recent days, a new video surfaced showing Kai and his Twitch friends, known as Agent00 and Fanum, reportedly mistreating an expensive robotic purchase. This robot, also referred to as the Unitree G1 humanoid, set Cenat back a staggering $70,000.

The video available on YouTube first displays the trio assembling the robot. There is a mix of humor and unease as the robot becomes operational, stimulating an unexpected reaction from the group. However, their initial surprise soon wanes, making room for incessant pushing and kicking of the machine, which they whimsically named Abdul.

Standing at the center of the group, the humanoid robot wobbled and tipped over amidst their jests. Fans observed these actions closely, noting the robot’s attempts to move away, only to be blocked and pushed back by Cenat.

This incident, which quickly gained traction on Twitter, left many of Cenat’s followers unsettled. Some viewers speculated whether a hidden participant was maneuvering the robot remotely, seeking to understand its peculiar reactions.
The content of the footage features Kai mocking the robot with provocative phrases and enforcing physical gestures, causing it to topple repeatedly. Despite the recordings capturing the machine’s lack of human emotions or consciousness, the apparent mistreatment sparked anger among onlookers.
Fans expressed discomfort, pointing out the troubling display of ‘bullying’ an inanimate object. A comment underscored the distressing nature of their actions, even towards a lifeless machine. “There’s an unmistakable streak of darkness in treating technology disrespectfully,” one viewer commented.

Another individual expressed their disdain by stating, “It’s quite unsettling. Despite it being just a robot, the dynamics on display are quite uncomfortable to witness.” Further comparisons were drawn to the movie “I, Robot” with viewers jokingly warning of a potential future robot revolt spurred by mistreatment.
