Recently, there was a bit of an online uproar when Elon Musk made an unusual comment directed at Taylor Swift. This remark has caught the attention of many, including Musk’s own daughter.
The 53-year-old Musk, known for his eccentricities, mentioned Taylor Swift in a post on September 11. This was just after Swift shared her voting preferences on Instagram.
The music superstar posted a lighthearted picture with her cat, Benjamin Button. It seemed to be a playful nod towards her disapproval of Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, ending her message with: “Childless Cat Lady.”

Elon Musk, who has expressed support for Trump and Vance, replied, “Fine Taylor… you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.” This comment quickly spread across the internet, leaving many bewildered by its peculiar nature.
Responses poured in, with many perceiving Elon’s comment as bizarre. “This tweet just takes things to a whole new level of strange. It’s not even eccentric at this point, just outright unsettling,” expressed one concerned user.
Another added, “Elon responding to tonight by telling Taylor Swift he’ll impregnate her is peak weirdo and creeper behavior.”
One person humorously referenced a recent faux pas by Trump, writing: “Cringe just called and asked you to stop, Leon,” referencing the time Trump mistakenly called him “Leon.”
Musk’s comment struck many as particularly inappropriate, especially towards someone like Swift. As one person noted, “No offense, Elon Musk, but no self-respecting woman would agree to this, and I am certain Taylor Swift is a woman who may decide to have a child in the future with a man who truly loves her for who she is… And, yes… I am a Taylor Swift fan.”
Another commentator said, “Buddy, if you wanna learn how to talk to women, I’m available. But I’ll write the contract, not your lawyers. Apparently, they have no idea how bad it is.”
“This is what you post when you have 197 million followers? Harris won the debate tonight, and now you want to give a child to Taylor Swift, who has no interest in you. Is that some sort of alpha male dominance thing to make you feel powerful and virile? Is it working??” questioned another user.
Amidst all this, Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, had something to say. Being transgender herself, she didn’t hold back. Vivian remarked, “The timing for the Taylor Swift endorsement of Kamala Harris honestly could not have been better. Can’t wait to see the Swifties at the polls. Vote blue.”
She continued, “Also, yes, I saw ‘the tweet’. Heinous incel nonsense is in fact heinous incel nonsense.
“I don’t really have anything to add to it, it’s just abhorrent. That much is obvious and if you don’t see how then you’re part of the problem.
“I would just like to say to my audience members, don’t let people talk to you like that. It’s disgusting, it’s belittling, and incredibly sexist. You deserve better.”
This all came about after Swift’s Instagram post following the presidential debate between Trump and Harris, where she officially threw her support behind the Democratic team.
In her post, Swift pointed out how the debate reminded her of the risks connected to misinformation and AI. She stated, “It really conjured up my fears around AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

It’s not even eccentric at this point, just outright unsettling.
Swift has been a vocal advocate for political involvement, especially when it comes to voting. Back in September 2023, she urged her American fans to ensure they were registered on National Voter Registration Day. She shared, “Are you registered to vote yet? I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you at my US shows recently,” nodding to her Eras Tour. “I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year.”
Thanks to Swift’s influence, Vote.org saw an immense surge in interest following her post. Nick Morrow from Vote.org shared that the site was experiencing traffic of about 13,000 users every half-hour thanks to the “Anti-Hero” singer’s engagement.
