A mother has shared a disturbing account of her young daughter’s first NFL experience being ruined when rowdy, inebriated fans allegedly pushed her eight-year-old down the stairs. The incident reportedly unfolded on Sunday, December 1, during a Buffalo Bills game, drawing attention and criticism on social media.

Little Mia DeCamilla, who has bravely survived a fight with embryonal sarcoma, attended the Buffalo Bills vs. San Francisco 49ers game with her parents, proudly holding a sign that read, “I BEAT CANCER! MY FIRST NFL GAME!” Shockingly, Mia was allegedly pushed down the stadium stairs by some intoxicated Bills fans, according to her mother, Mikey DeCamilla.
Mikey took to social media to express her anguish, sharing a poignant image of Mia with her sign. She wrote on Facebook: “Sadly, we had to leave earlier than we wanted. It’s not just because the Niners were losing, but more so because of an incident with inebriated Bills fans. A drunken fan, who thought it was fine to bypass my husband and me, ended up pushing our young warrior Mia down the stairs in section 312.”
The distressed mother continued in her post: “If you are the sort of Bills Mafia fan who behaves this way, please unfollow our family immediately. I also hope you feel your actions were worth it even with your team’s win, knowing you pushed a young child who has already faced her battles.”
Mikey’s post rapidly gained traction and went viral, resonating deeply with individuals who were moved by her heart-wrenching narrative.
As this story gained attention, a previously established GoFundMe campaign created to assist Mia’s battle against cancer re-emerged. At the time, an impressive sum near $34,000 had been accumulated to support her. The campaign outlined Mia’s incredible journey: Mia was diagnosed with Childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in mid-January 2022. She underwent four months of pre-surgery chemotherapy and bravely endured a 12-hour liver resection surgery on May 23, 2022. Mia then required eight weeks of post-surgery chemotherapy, achieving remission by July 25th of the same year.
The GoFundMe page highlights: “To alleviate the financial burden on the family and help with daily living costs like food in the hospital, transportation, bills, and the mortgage, we are seeking donations of any size. Your contributions mean the world to us.”
The post further explains: “For those wanting to support Mia’s family, donating is a meaningful way to contribute. Every donation benefits Mia’s family directly. With her parents both being Marine Corps veterans and her mother currently focused solely on Mia’s care, any aid received is invaluable.”
The message concludes with a heartfelt sentiment about Mia’s spirit: “Mia is incredibly strong, courageous, resilient, kind, and beautiful. She is ready to conquer cancer and emerge victorious!”
