Perhaps the most lovely aspect of sibling love is that it is completely unconditional.

As brothers and sisters, we frequently argue, call each other names, drive each other insane, and so on. But, at the end of the day, your siblings are the ones who will always be at your side.

I was blessed with both sisters and brothers, and I have a special relationship with every one of them. Simply said, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to help them if they needed me, regardless of my attitude or the current state of our friendship.

That’s perhaps why this specific story touched me so deeply. It is about Chris Garafola, a Vermont native, and his elder sister, Brittany, who has Down Syndrome.

According to sources, Chris Garafola considered himself extraordinarily lucky as a child. He was born into a loving household and had an elder sister with whom he formed a deep bond.

The siblings were two years apart in age, although they were inseparable as children. Chris and Brittany were a “package deal,” and he never missed an occasion to tell her how much he adored her.

Chris stated on Instagram, “Always poured her love onto him, challenged him, and taught him timeless lessons—giving him countless opportunities to grow (quickly) as a man, and become the best BROTHER he could possibly be.”

Brittany has encountered her own set of problems in life since she was born with Down Syndrome. Every obstacle she overcome was made simpler by the presence of her younger brother Chris by her side.

Needless to say, their friendship became stronger as they grew older, and when Chris found the love of his life, Tatiana, and later proposed to her, he knew Brittany had to play a significant role in their wedding.

Chris and Tatiana agreed to postpone their wedding until Brittany could be present to witness the ceremony. Brittany’s immune system was fragile owing to her disease, therefore she needed to obtain her COVID-19 shot before she could attend any social engagements with others.

Brittany received her vaccination in February 2021, which meant Chris and Tatiana could finally start planning their wedding.

Chris, a male model, posted a video to YouTube in late March of that year in which he and Tatiana could be seen talking on FaceTime with Brittany.

Brittany was taken aback by the news that her younger brother was getting married, but what Tatiana then asked her left her dumbfounded.

“Do you know what else I wanted to ask you?” “Would you like to be my maid of honor?” Tatiana can be seen on the video inquiring.

Brittany fell into tears of joy and replied, “Yes, I can.”

As a result, Chris and Tatiana married in April 2021, with Brittany serving as maid of honor.

The newlyweds then announced that they had surprised Brittany with a one-of-a-kind ring to commemorate the occasion.

“She’s been my best friend since day one, and that won’t change even if I get married,” Chris explained.

Needless to say, Chris, Tatiana, and Brittany’s images quickly became popular on the internet. The amount of affection captured in the photos is enough to soften even the coldest of hearts.

In the video below, Chris and Tatiana break the news to Brittany:

We can’t get enough of Chris and Brittany’s sibling love. Absolutely adorable!
