Tammy Slaton is having difficulty coming to terms with her current health problems.

In this exclusive sneak peek at the season premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the 36-year-old woman becomes distraught as she recalls her weight gain on the day she attended rehab and how it led to her hospitalization.

“About two months ago, I decided to check myself back into treatment. I weighed more than I had ever weighed before by a big margin,” she said just before a video clip showed her standing on a scale when her doctor told her she weighed 717 pounds.

When she learned her weight, she burst into tears and said, “I just don’t feel well.”

Tammy recalled the first time she entered the weight reduction recovery center in Ohio in the film. Returning was difficult, given her struggles with heavy drinking, vaping, and depression.

She described the terrifying experience she had with her health shortly after arriving.

“I may have been here for less than thirty minutes, yet I noticed a decrease in my oxygen level,” she explained. “I needed someone to drive me to the hospital. They employed medical treatments to put me into a coma.”

“I have no recollection of any of it… nothing.” Tammy remembered being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. “I went completely unconscious. I don’t remember much after that besides waking up a week later in the hospital on life support.”

During a confessional, she stated that she heard her family members’ voices while in the coma and had a hazy recall of them holding her hand.

“I awoke about a week later,” Tammy explained. “My sister Amy and brother Chris are the first persons I text in a group text I send to myself. I sent them a photo with the comment, “It’s me!”
