As an officer, I do not expect or seek any freebies or discounts when I visit establishments, regardless of whether I’m in uniform or not. We don’t seek ‘special treatment.’”

The officer went on to acknowledge the importance of recognizing all first responders, stating, “To those who stated that other first responders should also be acknowledged. My answer? ABSOLUTELY.”
