Sharon Stone is still struggling to come to grips with the death of her nephew.

On Thursday, the 63-year-old actress posted an Instagram photo of what looks to be a hotel room with a couch, a suitcase, and three canvases hanging on the wall. She captioned the image “the phases of grief” as she cope with the loss of her godson and nephew River, who was just 11 months old at the time.

Following the news of Stone’s loss, a number of well-known celebrities left comments on her photo expressing their continued support and sorrow.

“Beyond the realm of my words, I pray that God would encourage and strengthen you, Sharon Stone.”  “My heartfelt and genuine condolences to you and your family during this terrible time.” Naomi Campbell wrote. Leslie Jordan, star of Will & Grace, prayed, “May God hold River in the palm of His hand…”

River William Stone was born on September 8, 2020, and died on August 30, 2021, according to the writing that accompanied the touching video that the Basic Instinct star posted online on Monday in his memory. Eric Clapton played “Tears in Heaven,” which was utilized in the video and included home footage of River.

The news of his death comes just a few days after Stone shared an Instagram photo of her nephew getting intubated and linked up with a lot of additional tubes and wires around his body.

“My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib with acute organ failure today,” the caption on Friday’s post said. She went on to describe what had occurred. “We would appreciate it if you could pray for him. We desperately need a miracle.”

Stone is the mother of three children, Quinn, 15, Laird, 16, and Roan, 21. “The role of motherhood did not come easily to me, but the angels brought it to me with love,” Stone said in 2017 on becoming a mother through adoption. “Our home is filled with happiness and good fortune. That is our guiding philosophy in everything we do.”

She continued, “We have a choice about what we teach our children, and we have to stand tall and say yes to love.”
