Coleen Nolan’s sister, Linda Nolan, is 63 years old and has been public about receiving a second breast cancer diagnosis. Although the illness may be controlled, she has stated that it cannot be cured.
She has chemotherapy once a week, which results in neuropathic pain in her fingers and feet. She has just revealed another tragic side effect of her treatment. The former singer is undergoing cancer treatment right now.
The most priceless possessions Linda owns, are her wedding rings. Linda said, “Because of my therapy, my arms and wrists are swollen so I can’t get them on, therefore they’re stored in a particular spot.” Linda’s arm swelled due to lymphedema, a disease that develops as a result of cancer therapy that includes the removal of lymph nodes or the harming of lymph nodes in some other manner.
The 63-year-old woman claimed that she loves to wear long shirts to conceal her arms.
Despite heroically enduring the adverse effects of chemotherapy, Linda has said that her incurable diagnosis is what worries her the most in life.
She admitted, “I’m afraid of dying.” “I try hard not to dwell on it. There are times when I actually feel like I’m “living with cancer” rather than “dying from it,”.
“I have neuropathic pain in my feet and fingers, which feels like really awful pins and needles all the time, and my legs are a little shake,” Linda said.
The battle against cancer, which Linda later learned to be breast cancer, began in the year 2006. She was diagnosed with lymphedema and cellulitis in her arm the next year, in 2007, and secondary cancer in her pelvis the year after that, in 2017. In March 2020, it was revealed that Linda’s sickness had reached her liver. She had to have chemotherapy up to September of that year as a result.
They made the decision to write a book on their battle with cancer together with Linda’s sister Anne, who also has the disease.
