Grayson Chrisley isn’t feeling well after a terrible car accident that put him to the hospital earlier this month. According to his older sister Savannah Chrisley, 25, the 16-year-old was “beaten up” as a result of the incident on Saturday, November 12. Savannah, 25, said on the November 29 episode of her Unlocked podcast, “He’s OK.” “He’s injured, but he’s well.”
“Thank the Almighty God things didn’t become any worse.” During the podcast, Savannah’s mother, Julie Chrisley, agreed that the child’s situation might have been “a lot worse.”
Although the episode aired on Tuesday, it was recorded before the Chrisley family heard the startling news that their heads of household, Todd, 53, and Julie, 49, would be serving lengthy jail terms. On November 21, the Chrisley Knows Best cast members were sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison for tax evasion and bank fraud, respectively. They had earlier been found guilty on all allegations in June.
Savannah went on to claim that she didn’t think much of the accident when Grayson first informed her about it. Savannah commented that when the child told her, “I hit the back of someone,” he “made it sound like a fender bender.”
However, after assessing the involved Ford F-150, she deemed it “totaled,” noting that all of the airbags had been deployed. “It was bad,” the podcast’s presenter admits. “When I arrived and saw that, my heart sank.”
Savannah reported that her brother was the first to point out the obvious shortly after the accident. Grayson’s first words were, “This was the last thing anyone needed,” Savannah recounted.
“With all the legal nonsense you’ve got going on, Grayson.” She also reported that her father, Todd, was supportive, saying, “You’re living, and you’re safe, and you’re well; that’s all that matters.”
Grayson was brought to a local hospital after allegedly rear-ending a red Dodge vehicle, according to a Nashville police complaint obtained by HollywoodLife. The damage caused entirely destroyed the front end of the Ford F-150, with the bumper hanging off.
The catastrophe appears to have worsened the instability around the renowned family, who were grieved by the announcement of the Chrisley parents’ heavy imprisonment.
