John Legend and Chrissy Teigen had a heartbreaking miscarriage before welcoming their third child, and they have been quite open about it.

The couple has now revealed how they secretly adopted a different strategy to welcome a fourth child.

On Wednesday, the couple made their son’s birth public. A surrogate named Alexandra helped the couple, and as a means of saying thank you for assisting them in bringing their child into the world, they did something spectacular.

In a blog post, Chrissy referred to Alexandra as “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine.”

“I knew she was the perfect match for us when we started talking with her. All of our dreams and goals came true,” Chrissy thought. “I wanted to be her friend, see our children interact, eat dinner with her, and rest my head on her belly to feel the kicks and hiccups. I wanted them to be a part of our life for as long as time would allow.”

She talked about how Alexandra “fought to get ready for a second transfer,” sacrificing “her own body” for procedures and going through “the mental toll” that came with it.

Chrissy recalled, “We celebrated with hot pot, watched Vanderpump Rules with our swelling stomachs, and our families have been fusing into one for the past year.”

On June 19, Chrissy shared a photo of herself giving delivery on Instagram, writing, “Got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a little bit of chaos, but with strength, pure joy, and love.”

Chrissy and John also decided to honor their surrogate with a special gesture. “We wish to express our gratitude to Alexandra for this lovely gift she gave us,” Chrissy wrote. “We are also thrilled to announce the arrival of Wren Alexander Stephens, a name intimately linked to you.”

The two oldest children of the marriage are Miles and Luna. Their third daughter, Esti, was also born six months ago. John Legend also shared a picture of his family, including the newest member. The caption said, “Alexander Stephens, our new love.”

The family seemed pleased with their newest member. We wish them the best of luck! Tell all of your Facebook friends and family about this good news.
