President Joe Biden this week appeared at the international climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland. However, during Monday’s meeting, the President appeared to close his eyes, thereafter becoming the subject of accusations suggesting he had fallen asleep.

Shortly afterward, a video of Biden spread across the internet, with people mocking him for apparently taking a snooze. Naturally, former President Donald Trump was one of the first in line to put the boot in.

Speaking with Fox News, Trump mocked Biden for appearing to fall asleep – and also took the time to slam his administration as a “disaster.”

Donald Trump and his family have been laying low since leaving the White House in January. Their youngest son, Barron Trump, started at a new school, but what Donald and Melania would be doing wasn’t known for a long time.

Donald Trump – life after the White House

It seemed like Donald and Melania’s relationship had taken a turn just weeks after they moved into their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

CNN reported back in February that Melania had distanced herself from her husband and spent most of her time at the spa.

“She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again) and has dinner with Donald on the patio,” a person familiar with Melania’s schedule at Mar-a-Lago told CNN. “Rinse and repeat. Every day.”

It’s still unclear if Trump will join the Presidential race in 2024. Many people have suggested he will be running for president once again, but others aren’t quite sure.

Back in April, Trump was not especially cryptic about his future plans when he teased a return to politics.

“The answer is I’m absolutely enthused,” Trump said. “I look forward to doing an announcement at the right time.

“As you know, it’s very early. But I think people are going to be very, very happy when I make a certain announcement,” he added. “You know for campaign finance reasons, you really can’t do it too early because it becomes a whole different thing.”

Back in May, Politico wrote on the subject: “Trump is confiding in allies that he intends to run again in 2024 with one contingency: that he still has a good bill of health, according to two sources close to the former president. That means Trump is going to hang over the Republican Party despite its attempts to rebrand during his exile and its blockade of a Trump-centric investigation into January’s insurrection.”

“It’s pretty clear that he’s running”

Longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller also claimed that Trump will most likely run for President in 2024.

“I would say somewhere between 99 and 100 percent,” Miller said. “I think he is definitely running in 2024.”

He added: “I had a good conversation with him last night. I’m going to go see him in another couple of days here. He has not said the magical words to me, but if you talk to him for a few minutes it’s pretty clear that he’s running.”

Another person who is certain that Trump will run again is his niece, Mary Trump. In August, she claimed that “all signs” point towards Donald entering the 2024 presidential election.

“If you’d asked me if he’d run again in December, I would have said definitely not because he had just been humiliated and wouldn’t put himself in that position again,” she told Business Insider.

“But things have changed. He’s still spreading his ‘Big Lie,’” Mary Trump added, referring to a phrase used to describe Republican misinformation about the 2020 election.

“He’s also now spreading the second big lie. This is that the insurrection of January 6 wasn’t a big deal.

During the 2020 Presidential election race, Trump put a lot of effort into pushing the idea that Joe Biden was too old to run for President, and that the Democratic candidate’s health could become a problem.

In a strange twist, it now seems that the same rhetoric may be used against Donald Trump if he decides to run.

Donald Trump – alarming health claims

According to former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, Trump might not be in good enough physical condition to even run for President in 2024.

Speaking on MSNBC, as reported by The Hill, she suggested that Trump would benefit from speaking about how he’s actually feeling.

“I think, going into 2024, I’m really more concerned that Donald Trump hasn’t come forward and talked about his health,” she said.

Manigault Newman has known Trump for decades, according to The Hill. He was a former contestant on the “Apprentice”, though the pair’s relationship ended badly when Trump’s four-year tenure at the White House came to its close.

In 2018, Newman released her book Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House, and became one of Trump’s leading critics in the process. Trump would later sue her over the publication, arguing that it violated a nondisclosure agreement. He lost the case after an arbitrator ruled that she had hardly included privileged information.

“I don’t know if he will even be healthy enough to run in 2024, and I think he needs to come clean to the American people about where he is on that before getting into a very stressful and strenuous race for the White House,” she added.

Health questioned in October

Mary Trump is also of the opinion that Trump’s age and health might be a problem.

“Remember, he’s 75, not in good health, and there are the criminal investigations into him,” she told Business Insider. “Hopefully, something will interfere with his ability to run but, if all things are equal, he will.”

Back in October of last year, Trump’s health came into question after the former President tested positive for coronavirus. At the same time, the White House received heavy criticism over the fact that they weren’t more transparent in releasing news on his health.

Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis came just a month before facing Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. Trump was airlifted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, to get treatment for his symptoms. Following a couple of days at the hospital, he returned to the White House to prepare for the Presidential race against Joe Biden.

Boy, was it going to be a toxic one. The two candidates were involved in several chaotic live debates, and things soon devolved into name-calling.

During the first debate – moderated by Chris Wallace – the two candidates went at each other several times as Trump interrupted and heckled Biden. Biden responded by calling Trump a “clown.”

According to Slate, Trump interrupted Joe Biden 128 times during the debate. Chris Wallace had asked President Trump to stop interrupting and obey the debate rules at least 25 times, the site reported at the time.

New book on Trump to be released

According to the new book Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections by Fox commentator and The Federalist senior editor Mollie Hemingway, Trump is said to still be fuming at Wallace because of the first presidential debate back in September 2020.

The Daily Mail, fortunately, obtained a section of said book.

“The problem was Biden would speak and it was lie after lie, after lie. Everything he said was a lie, this guy, and then Chris Wallace wouldn’t let you respond. Chris Wallace was terrible,” Trump said, according to the UK newspaper.

Many were annoyed by Trump’s behavior at the debate. Afterward, debate organizers even released a statement, saying that the next debate had to be “more orderly.”

However, it turns out it wasn’t only Trump’s critics who didn’t like his actions. Reports state that his own son, Barron, also opposed his father.

In the book, Donald Trump personally admitted that his then 14-year old son thought he was too harsh on Biden.

Donald Trump lashes out on Joe Biden

“People thought I was too belligerent,” Trump said. “I will say my own son Barron said, ‘Dad, you were too tough. You didn’t have to keep interrupting him.’”

Since leaving the White House, Trump has hit out at Joe Biden several times. Recently, the former president did it again.

Speaking on Justice with Judge Jeanine last week, Trump called out the Biden administration for being an “embarrassment”.

“I think you have to say an F and not an F+. It would be an F,” Trump said when grading the administration. “It’s a failed administration. It’s a disaster. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Trump also claimed that he wanted the Biden administration to succeed, since he loves his country “more than anything.”

“I would love to see him do well,” he told Pirro. “I don’t think there’s ever been a greater embarrassment as an administration, and we had everything ready to go.”

Joe Biden “fell asleep” at climate meeting?

This week, President Biden attended the international climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland. However, during one of the meetings, the camera caught him at what appeared to be a very bad time.

Video footage emerged of the President sitting with his eyes closed at the climate change summit. Zach Purser Brown, with The Washington Post, posted a video on Twitter wherein the president closes his eyes for 20 seconds before an aide approached him. Biden then opened his eyes and clapped as the speech ended.

While some criticized the president for apparently resting his heavy lids, others also expressed sympathy for him because of his jet-lagged state. One figure who had no room for excuses was … yep, you guessed it … Donald Trump.

In a statement, Trump insisted that Biden had fallen asleep. The reason? Because he couldn’t bear to hear more about global warming, according to Trump.

Joe Biden apologized for “last administration”

He also claimed that some of the cases discussed during the meeting were hoaxes.

“Even Biden couldn’t stand hearing so much about the Global Warming Hoax, the 7th biggest Hoax in America, followed closely behind by the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2 and, of course, the ‘No Collusion’ finding of the Mueller Report,” Trump said in a statement.

“Biden went to Europe saying Global Warming is his highest priority, and then promptly fell asleep, for all the world to see, at the Conference itself,” he added. “Nobody that has true enthusiasm and belief in a subject will ever fall asleep!”

At the summit in Glasgow, Biden also flashed his claws in Trump’s direction when he apologized to world leaders about “the last administration”. The President said Trump put climate change “behind the eight ball a little bit” by pulling out of the Paris climate agreement.
