Ben Stiller’s marriage to Christine Taylor seemed to be a scene from a movie. The two met by chance in 1999 while Taylor audited for a role in a television pilot directed by Stiller.

Although the television series failed to get traction, the two actors’ friendship did. The pair decided to marry in Hawaii just a year after meeting.

In 2016, the “Zoolander” actor told Parade he was in love with Taylor, and their relationship “just felt right.” The performers’ passion for each other became stronger over time.

Their family grew alongside their professional pursuits as they brought two beautiful children into their lives. Nevertheless, while Stiller and Taylor appeared to be the picture-perfect pair, that illusion was broken when they announced their divorce in 2017.

In a joint statement, the two stars said, “We have decided to divorce despite our deep love and respect for each other and the 18 years we spent together as a marriage. Our principal focus will remain to raise our children as loving parents and best friends.”

Another Hollywood relationship appeared to have died, but the couple returned stronger than ever. Stiller and Taylor reconciled and were allowed to return to their previous location. Taylor is opening up about reconnecting with her husband now that they have been separated for a while.

Because of the epidemic, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor were able to reconnect after announcing their separation. During “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the actor from “The Wedding Singer” discussed her and Stiller’s previous relationship.

Taylor stated, “After meeting each other, we married quite fast. We dated six months before getting engaged, married in a year, and had Ella the following year.” Their relationship was fast-paced, and the couple became different persons over time.

“Family was always a priority,” she continued, “but I think Ben and I both started to grow in different directions.” Taylor explained that their 2017 split was not something they “took lightly.”

The couple visited each other frequently during their divorce to present a unified front to their children. When the epidemic struck, it only made sense for them to quarantine together.

Stiller and Taylor could rekindle their affection for one another at this time. Taylor stated, “We eventually found our way back. We had a lot of time to discuss… There were no additional sources of distraction. That just came naturally and spontaneously for us.”

Although some may question their romance, the actress revealed that she and Stiller are doing “so well” since reuniting. She stated, “I believe there is freedom in the security of this partnership and the commitment. And also knowing that we must look after ourselves.”
