Carlos Santana looks to have passed out while performing for his audience on Tuesday.

Attendees at the Pine Knot Music Festival in Detroit were stunned and terrified when a group rushed to the stage to assist a famous guitarist who appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion. The musician is 74 years old.

The audience became increasingly anxious and concerned as images and videos of Santana seeking medical attention circulated online.

According to accounts, it happened about 20 minutes into his performance.

Carlos Santana just “passed out” on stage.

“Members of the medical community may now join the audience.” The crowd demanded that he be treated since he had a “severe medical concern.”

According to concertgoers interviewed by The Detroit News, Santana was in the middle of performing “Joy” when the music was abruptly shut off.

He eventually passed out after a while of aimless walking and playing.

According to Variety, the music singer’s face was reportedly hidden by a dark sheet when he was carried to a nearby emergency hospital.

Carlos Santana was “overtaken by heat exhaustion and dehydration while performing at a performance in Michigan on Tuesday evening,” according to a statement made by the rock musician on Tuesday evening.

What is Santana’s current situation?

According to his team’s knowledge, he is “under observation and doing well.”

In fact, Santana communicated with his followers via text message to convey his appreciation for their “sweet prayers.”

He also said that because he didn’t eat or drink anything before coming to perform, he became dehydrated and passed out.

Carlos Santana said in December 2021 that he needed emergency cardiac surgery, forcing him to cancel a tour planned for the following year.

He told his audience that his wife had taken him to the emergency department one month before because he was having “something happen in his chest.”

Despite this, he had already been forced to cancel seven engagements prior to the event, but he planned to return to the stage at the start of 2022.

“I’m going to take a little time off to make sure that I refuel, rest, and catch up with my health so that when I play for you, I will play the way I’m used to and give you 150 percent,” Santana assured his fans at the time.

However, because multiple members of the musician’s band tested positive for COVID-19, the iconic entertainer was forced to cancel his February 2022 shows in Las Vegas.
