Angelina Jolie outlines the alleged mistreatment by Brad Pitt in a new court declaration. During a trip in 2016, according to a court filing filed on Tuesday by Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt allegedly grabbed her by the head, shook her, choked one of their children, and slapped another when they protected her.

Unrelated to their ongoing divorce, the couple’s disagreement over a French property and winery they shared prompted Jolie to file a cross-complaint that contained information about the violence suffered on the private plane. Jolie immediately asked for a divorce.

A Pitt representative who was not allowed to comment publicly rejected Jolie’s charges, calling it “another rehash that only harms the family.”

The allegations of abuse on the flight were first made public shortly after the flight, but the details were withheld in divorce documents and inquiries by the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, both of which came to the conclusion that no action against Pitt was necessary.

The judge awarded Pitt joint custody of the children after a trial that took place behind closed doors where the claims were presented. However, an appeals court reversed the decision when Jolie filed a request by dismissing the private judge for failing to disclose any conflicts of interest.

More details concerning the allegations were made public earlier this year when a Jolie lawsuit against the FBI over a Freedom of Information Act request was made public.

The complaint claims that on September 14, 2016, Jolie, Pitt, and their six kids departed the Chateau Miraval winery for Los Angeles.

Even before the family arrived at the airport, Pitt and one of the children got into a fight, which marked the start of his aggressive behavior. After the plane took off, Jolie approached Pitt and asked what was wrong, according to the document. Pitt yelled at her and said she was being too respectful to the children.

He pushed her into the bathroom and shouted at her there, it continues. Pitt grabbed Jolie and began to shake her before pushing her up against the bathroom wall.

Pitt allegedly retaliated after one of the children, who were between the ages of 8 and 15, verbally backed Jolie.

“As Pitt leaped for his own child, Jolie pulled him from behind. Pitt hurt Jolie’s back and elbow when he threw himself backward into the seats of the aircraft to assist Jolie in getting off of his back, according to the documentation. The kids sprinted in and bravely made an effort to defend one another. Before it was finished, Pitt strangled one of the children and struck another one in the face.

He allegedly followed up by pouring beer on Jolie then red wine and beer on the kids, according the report.

Jolie gave two FBI agents an account of the trip in the days that followed. It featured a photo of Jolie with a bruise on her elbow and a rug burn on her hand. She alleged that Pitt seemed sober despite having had two to three drinks.

In a conference between the federal prosecutors and the investigators, “it was decided by all parties that criminal charges in this instance would not be pursued owing to several concerns,” the report said.

The FBI reportedly “conducted an assessment of the facts and will not pursue further investigation.”

The 47-year-old actress and director Jolie and the 58-year-old Oscar-winning actor Pitt were among the most well-known couples in Hollywood for 12 years.

They had been romantically connected for eleven years before they married in 2014. In 2019, a judge decided that they were no longer married after Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. However, due to unresolved custody issues and financial issues, the divorce case has not yet been finalized.
