Pitbulls and Parolees is addictive because of its emotional rollercoaster and family drama. Pet lovers will appreciate Tia Maria Torres, the owner of the Villalobos Rescue Center, who rescues and rehabilitates abandoned canines.

Torres’ children grew up in the rescue center and have become inextricably linked to the popular Animal Planet show. So, when word broke that Tia Torres’ son Kanani Chock had been engaged in a horrific accident, concerns regarding his eventual death arose.

But did Kanani Chock die as a result of the accident? Why is he no longer a part of the show? Continue reading to find out what happened to Tia Torres’ son.

Tia has four children: her biological daughters, Mariah Torres and Tania Torres, and Kanani’s twin brother Keli’i Torres.

Kanani and his twin were born on April 20, 1987, in Hawaii, and Tia Torress adopted them soon after. Both boys grew up watching their mother run the Villalobos Rescue Center, the largest pit bull rescue center in the United States. They inevitably became interested in the animals that arrived at the animal shelter.

Kanani used to work at the rescue center. Aside from his love of animals and appearances on reality television, he is also a motorbike stunt rider.

Pit bulls & Parolees, which debuted on the Animal Network on October 30, 2009, is centered on the goings-on at the well-known rescue center.

Tia Torres is a well-known pit-bull trainer, and her animal facility rehabilitates abandoned and injured canines.

What became of Kanani Chock?
Kanani worked at the Villalobos Rescue Center and was a regular on Animal Planet’s Pitbulls and Parolees, so it was unusual to see him disappear from the show.

What happened?

Kanani has a history of run-ins with the law and is currently on parole. He was arrested in 2007 but appeared to have changed his ways.

Chock changed his focus to motorcycle stunt work, which resulted in a terrible accident that landed the reality star in the intensive care unit for several days.

Kanani’s social media followers would know he enjoys street bike stunts, which he routinely broadcasts on his pages. You’ll see him do adrenaline-pumping things like flipping in the air and riding at breakneck speed. All of this, however, ended in disaster.

The Real Reason for Kanani Chock’s Death
Kanani was seriously injured during one of his stunt performances. This was the first major accident involving the television personality since he began stunt work. He was immediately brought to the hospital, leaving him to struggle for his life.

The good news is that Torres’ son Kanani Chock was not killed in the crash. Although we saw his family rallying around him in one of the show’s episodes, specifics concerning the accident and Kanani’s health remained scarce, leading to rumors that the television star had died.

Kanani was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) after suffering many significant injuries. The rest was kept hidden by the family.

Kanani’s injuries from the accident must have been severe because he did not appear in several TV series episodes following the occurrence. Throughout this time, his family received few updates on Chock’s health.

Tia had paid respect to Colin, one of her oldest employees who had become close to Tia’s children and considered each other siblings, before the accident in 2018. According to Tia, Colin, who had been with Pit Bulls and Parolees since its start, had died in a bike accident.

So, rather than Tia Torres’ son, an employee and close family friend died.

Kanani Chock’s death rumors are precisely that: hearsay. Tia Torres’ kid was in a horrific accident that left him in the intensive care unit, yet he did not die.

What happened to Kanani Chock? Update on Health
After the near-fatal accident, Kanani returned to his television career. He’s even born to social media; in one image, we see him riding his two-stroke Honda 250.

The American reality TV star has also begun working with Animal Hospital LLC and mentoring children. We discovered that Kanani and his wife, Mariah Chock, added a wonderful daughter to their brood.

We are overjoyed that Kanai Chocks is alive and well and appears to have recovered from his accident. We send our best wishes to him and his family!
