They shattered a car window to get her.

Police entered a car in an attempt to help an elderly woman who was lifeless in an abandoned vehicle — but it was a dummy.

According to reports, a 911 caller informed authorities that a woman was frozen to death inside the vehicle in Hudson, New York, and a rescue crew was quickly deployed.

The temperature inside the parked car was 5 degrees Celsius, and the “woman” was wearing a seatbelt.

Officers busted the glass and uncovered an exceptionally realistic CPR dummy with hair, actual clothing, and skin blemishes, according to CNN.

According to police, the car’s owner ultimately approached them and informed them he worked for a company that supplies medical training equipment.

When the cops broke his window, he apparently became angry.

“If you park your vehicle on the street on a sub-zero night with a life-size realistic mannequin sat in it… we will shatter your window,” Hudson Police Chief Edward Moore stated in a statement.

There were no charges filed.
