Upon receiving a letter from his school complaining that his haircut was “excessive,” his mother became angry with the institution.

Hayley Andrew was furious when she saw the note complaining about her son Sonny Lake’s hairstyle.

The letter, according to Hayley of Derby’s Arundel Street, is “very silly,” but her 11-year-old is “perfectly fine,” she said.

I couldn’t believe a school would take the time to tell me that my son’s haircut was too short, she reportedly stated. ” It’s not; it’s quite acceptable.”

It features a longer top and shorter back and sides. If it were red, blue, and spiky, I would completely understand. However, that is entirely okay.

“I think the letter is pathetic. The letter telling me that my child had violated dress code requirements with the phrases “excessive haircut” circled received in the mail. “In my perspective, the haircut is good.”

She said Sonny enjoys his time at Bishop Lonsdale Primary School and is doing well there. She now asserts that the letter has given her anxiety.

“It would be preferable for them to concentrate on raising student performance. It’s absurd and a total farce. At first, I was horrified, but now I find it absurd.”

For a response, a school official has been contacted.
