In an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. on November 28, former world champion Mike Tyson made his first appearance in the ring after nearly 15 years.

Mike Tyson, clearly one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, set a record for the youngest winner of a World Championship when he did so at the age of 20 years and 22 days. He was the undisputed Heavyweight Champion from 1987 through 1990.

On the other hand, Mike Tyson has led a sad life. From losing his mother at a young age to doing time in prison, he has experienced it all. Exodus’s death at the age of four was arguably the biggest tragedy in his life.

How did Exodus Tyson pass away?

Exodus, the four-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson, perished in a sad accident.

According to sources, Exodus Tyson’s seven-year-old brother found her in their Phoenix, Arizona, home with a treadmill machine cable wrapped around her neck. As soon as the young youngster alerted his mother, she started performing CPR on Exodus before calling 911.

After being brought to the hospital, Exodus was given life support. At the time of the tragedy, Mike Tyson, who was 42 at the time, was in Las Vegas. He took off for Phoenix as soon as he received the news.

At 11:45 on May 26, 2009, Exodus Tyson passed away.

According to Sgt. Andy Hill of the Phoenix Police Department, who spoke with the media, Exodus was merely messing with the cables. She wasn’t using the treadmill at the time of the accident, and the equipment wasn’t even switched on.

“We think the kid was on the treadmill, although it wasn’t running at the time. She may have posed as someone else.” ” For whatever reason, she was playing on the treadmill, and there’s a cord that loops under the console. The loop functioned as a noose around her neck, and it was obvious that she was unable to release herself. Either she slipped or her head got stuck in the loop. Nothing in the investigation threw up any red lights.”

Mike Tyson on the passing of his daughter

As is customary, the Tyson family released a statement soon after her passing was reported.

“Words are unable to express the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We humbly ask you to accept our need for privacy to grieve and work toward healing one another at this very trying time.”

Over the years, Mike Tyson has discussed the incident on a number of occasions, although rarely with a level face and a steady voice.

In one of the most well-known interviews, Mike Tyson appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show and cried while speaking about his late daughter just five months after her passing.

Mike Tyson acknowledged that he wasn’t interested in learning who exactly was to blame for his daughter’s passing.

“There was no hatred. No one was the target of the fury. I don’t care how she passed away; I have no idea. I’ll have a problem if I figure out who’s to blame for it.”

The rematch between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in a “draw,” but the 54-year-old appeared to be in excellent condition.
