Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen gained enormous recognition in the 2000s as they began portraying young children.

When they were just six months old, the twins made their acting debut on the venerable series Full House.

They co-starred in a number of TV shows and movies up till their teenage years before turning to fashion design as adults.

They currently have a reported value of $500 million.

Elizabeth, the twins’ younger sister, reveals the reality of what it was like to grow up in the shadow of the spotlight, showing that the twins’ life of fame and money has a dark side.

Elizabeth Olsen has talked about her and her siblings’ experiences as child stars. Elizabeth Olsen went on to discover her own enormous success in major adult parts like Wind River and the Avengers movies.

The 31-year-old Avengers actress described how “strange” and “extremely scary” her early years were due to the “obsession” the public had with her and her sister.

She said as much on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie Ware, saying: “It’s weird growing up with that.”

The actress who played Wanda Maximoff described how “frightening” it was to be followed and photographed as a little child.

“The paparazzi portion was peculiar because they follow you, which scared me a lot as a kid.”

She said, “They were preoccupied with them turning 18.”

The twins’ unusual upbringing included many dramatic twists and turns.

They were reportedly coffee addicts by the age of 10, and Mary-Kate battled anorexia and was checked into a recovery facility when she was a teenager.

Both women dropped out of college and appeared determined to lose the innocence of their child star personas as they became teen rebels, chain-smoking in the restrooms at the Met Gala, allegedly needing to be carried from Oasis’s dressing room after too many drinks, and nearly puking on Penelope Cruz at Naomi Campbell’s 35th birthday party.

When their 18th birthday approached, the twins were eager to give up the wholesome image once and for all.

The twins’ experience of growing up in the spotlight made them eager to flee the spotlight in their late teens. They are famous for making the creepy claim that they were “nearly legal” in an effort to sexualize their image.

After their most recent movie, New York Minute, became a box office failure, the two decided to give up acting and focus on expanding their fashion enterprise.

As their wealth increased, the couple became more and more reclusive, avoiding the spotlight and only sometimes being seen together close to their New York offices.

Heath Ledger was allegedly dating Mary-Kate when he overdosed on drugs and passed away in 2008 at the age of 27.

She eventually met French banker Olivier Sarkozy, who is 17 years her senior, after a run of failed relationships.

Mary-Kate and Olivier got hitched in New York City on November 27, 2015, after the actress requested a divorce in April of the previous year.

The day after filing, she later asked for an emergency divorce order, claiming that Olivier was ejecting her from their house as the coronavirus pandemic began to spread.

Mary-Kate recently made news when she and Sarkozy finally came to an agreement, ending their ‘nasty’ divorce.

Ashley, who is 28 years younger than Richard Sachs, a financier, also found love at the same time.

Since 2017, the actress-turned-fashion mogul has been secretly dating Still House Group artist Louis Eisner, but the relationship didn’t endure.
