There are several birth stories that the general public considers shocking and unbelievable. The story of Lucy Marie Perkins’ birth, however, is on an entirely different level.

It’s something that no one in their right mind could have ever imagined. Scientific estimations state that this incidence only occurs once every 48 million births.

Caitlin and Tom Perkins, a married couple from Dirranbandi in South West Queensland, were born on the same day, which was pretty odd.

An intriguing coincidence regarding this relationship is that both of its members were born on August 16, 1986.

However, the universe was not quite done with them yet. The baby wasn’t born on the same day as his parents until thirty years later, making the three of them share a birthday.

Dr. Brad Robinson, Caitlin’s obstetrician, originally recounted this incredible story on his blog. “Can you guess who else now has a birthday on August 16?” said Dr. Brad in an email on Wednesday. Yes, Lucy was born on the same day as both of her parents.

It is extremely unlikely that she and both of her parents will have the same birthdate; the probability of this happening is one in 48 million. Lucy’s mother went into labor on Tuesday morning, and at that time, she was sent to a hospital in Brisbane.

When Caitlin’s water broke, she initially found it hard to accept what she was experiencing. The couple eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy who weighed 3.3 kilos after what felt like a lifetime.

It was “one of the most remarkable days of his life,” says Dr. Brad Robinson, who has been in the medical field for more than ten years. The doctor went on to remark that he is grateful enough to be able to have amazing experiences on certain occasions. “Tuesday was a great day,” he said.
