Sandra Bullock’s sister has disclosed that the actress spent her final hours with her long-term partner Bryan Randall before he died.

The 57-year-old ‘Oceans 8’ actress tragically lost her 57-year-old husband to ALS, an illness he had concealed for several years.

In a statement, his family wrote, “With deep sadness, we announce that Bryan Randall peacefully departed on August 5th, concluding a valiant 3-year battle against ALS.”

“Bryan made the deliberate choice to keep his fight with ALS private,” the family noted, “and those of us who cared for him diligently respected his wish.”

“We express our heartfelt gratitude to the unwavering medical professionals who guided us through the complexities of this illness, and to the exceptional nurses who became an integral part of our lives, often putting their own families aside to stand by ours,” said the statement. “We respectfully request privacy during this time as we mourn and try to come to terms with the hard reality of saying goodbye to Bryan.”

Gesine Bullock-Prado, Bullock’s sister, paid tribute to the talented model-turned-photographer on Instagram, offering some rare insight into the couple’s final moments.

“I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon,” Gesine said with a photo of Randall on Monday (August 7).

Bullock, she added, had been by his side until his death on Saturday (August 5).

“ALS is a cruel disease, but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home,” Gesine continued. “Rest peacefully, Bryan.”

Randall’s family confirmed his death on Monday, revealing that he has been battling the ailment for some time, which damages nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain.

Bullock, 59, first met Randall when he photographed her son Louis’ birthday celebration in January 2015. The pair began dating a few months later, and they made their red carpet-debut that same year.

Despite her own preference for seclusion, the ‘A Time to Kill’ actress stated on ‘Red Table Talk’ in December 2021 that Randall was the “love of her life.”

The ‘Lost City’ actress praised their mixed family, which includes Randall’s daughter Skylar and Sandra’s two children, Louis and Laila, at the time.

“He sets the example I want my children to follow,” she said of co-parenting with Randall.

Bullock has not made any public statements about her partner’s death as of now.

Randall’s family has requested that donations be sent to the ALS Association and the Massachusetts General Hospital in lieu of flowers.

During this tragic time, our thoughts and prayers are with Bryan Randall’s friends and family, as well as Sandra Bullock.
