A Florida school principal, Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, found herself in hot water after allegedly throwing a party at her residence, packing the place with around 100 students and alcohol. This controversial event led to serious charges being brought against her.
Hill-Brodigan, who serves as the principal of Roosevelt Elementary School, and teacher Karly Anderson, were both apprehended following the Cocoa Beach police discovering the rambunctious gathering.

The police department’s press release stated: “On January 19th, 2025, our department was called regarding a house party. Upon arrival, officers witnessed an expanse of over 100 young attendees, all dressed in matching shirts, and many indulging in alcohol from various coolers scattered around. This residence was verified to be owned by Roosevelt Elementary’s Principal, Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan.”

At the venue, alcohol was evidently accessible, resulting in one student needing medical attention for an ‘alcohol-related incident’ on site. In a surprising turn, when emergency responders showed up, Hill-Brodigan reportedly turned off her homeโs lights and retreated inside.
Karly Anderson, who educates third-graders at Roosevelt Elementary, also appeared at the scene, reportedly under the influence, and openly acknowledged her teaching role to the officers.
Following discussions with several teens and parents, Hill-Brodigan and Anderson were detained. The charges against them include suspicion of child neglect and promoting delinquency among minors. Additionally, a teenager was arrested for alleged driving under the influence nearby.

One local woman shared her view on the matter with 7News Miami, expressing her distress: “To think these types of things are happening is frightening.” Another community member lamented, “Our children are so valuable to us. They trust their teachers and school officials, yet incidents like these betray that trust, leading them down a perilous path. It’s both sorrowful and scary.”
The pair of educators have since been released on bail but are on administrative leave pending investigation outcomes. Mentioning the incident, Brevard County School District stated: “We are deeply concerned over these allegations and are cooperating fully with the Cocoa Beach Police. Ensuring student safety remains our utmost priority.”
