Ever since it became known that Bruce Willis is facing communication difficulties due to aphasia, he has chosen to step back from the limelight. However, later it was revealed that the Die Hard star also suffers from dementia.

Rumer Willis, Bruce Willis’ daughter, expressed her gratitude on social media for the overwhelming love, support, and heartwarming stories they have received since sharing her father’s diagnosis. She stated, “In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father, and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing. Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed, and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”

Emma, his wife and caretaker, has been providing updates on Bruce’s condition to concerned fans. Recently, she spoke about his struggle with dementia during an appearance on the Today show for World Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Week.

When asked if Bruce is aware of his condition, Emma responded, “It’s hard to know.”

“Dementia is a tough journey. It affects not only the person diagnosed but also the entire family. This is no different for Bruce, myself, or our girls. When they say this is a family disease, they really mean it,” Emma explained.

Understanding his condition has been a mixed blessing for Emma. She said, “I think it was both a blessing and a curse to finally comprehend what was happening. It doesn’t make it any less painful, but being informed about Bruce’s condition and accepting it has made it a bit easier.”

Recently, paparazzi captured Bruce Willis during a car ride, and many fans noticed a significant change in his appearance. His health struggles have taken a toll on his physical appearance, making him look older and thinner.

We sincerely hope for Bruce’s condition to improve as much as possible.
