Mont Blanc Massif

The Mont Blanc massif is the highest part of the Alps, spread over the territories of three countries: France, Italy and Switzerland. Interesting is not only with the highest mountain in Europe – Mont Blanc (4,808m asl), but also with the beautiful Aiguilles rocks and massive glaciers. The magnificent trek of the Tour du Mont Blanc is all around the mountain range. There is also a great cableway to the top of Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m above sea level).

High Tauern

The High Tauern are the highest Austrian mountains. The highest peak is Grossglockner. You can also find here the most famous Austrian waterfall – Krimmel and the most famous Austrian road. It is a beautiful mountain landscape with lots of hiking trails and a range of three thousanders peaks.

 

Făgăraș Mountains

The Fagaras Mountains (Munții Făgăraș) is the largest mountain range in Romania. Its main ridge is about 70 kilometers long and is 60 kilometers long, practically does not fall below 2000 meters above sea level.there is also the highest mountain in Romania – Moldoveanu (2,544m asl). The locals calls Fagaras „Rain Mountains“, which is absolutely accurate. The massive mountain wall captures large amounts of moisture and the mountain range is very rich in rain fall.

 

Jotunheimen

Jotunheimen is a large mountain area in the southern part of Norway. The highest mountain is Galdhøpiggen (2 469 m asl). There are dozens of peaks of two thousand meters above sea level. There are many hiking trails in the area.

 

Bernese Alps

The Bernese Alps is without a doubt one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. There are famous mountains such as Eiger or Jungfrau. Aletschgletscher glacier is the longest in Europe with its 26 kilometers. The glacial valley at Lauterbrunnen with several waterfalls is really impressive. In addition, there are amazing meadows with a wide range of hiking trails under the massive glacied peaks .
