Following a positive cocaine test, actress Michelle Pfeiffer informed her adoring fans that she would not attend the Critics’ Choice Awards as planned.

Fans were already disappointed by this turn of events, but her announcement heightened their concern for an entirely different reason.

Michelle could have easily accompanied the announcement of her positive Covid test with a photograph. Still, she instead chose to upload a photograph of actor Jeff Bridges, leading her followers to believe Bridges had died.

Michelle expressed her regret by posting a photo of her former co-star Jeff on social media. Jeff was set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Michelle was scheduled to miss the ceremony.

“I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend today’s Critics’ Choice Awards. Certainly, Covid. I am very disappointed that I will not be able to witness @thejeffbridges receive his Lifetime Achievement Award,” she wrote.

Fans commented on the photo, saying, “My stomach dropped when I first saw this,” “Don’t scare me, I thought he passed away,” and “Every time someone posts a picture of a star, I always get really worried!”

Although Michelle did not reveal her current feelings about Covid, Tom Hanks’s wife, Rita Wilson, wrote: “To which Rita replied, ‘Feeling better already, buddy,’ Michelle replied, ‘Feeling better already! Thanks!’”

Fans have been perplexed by Michelle’s decision to wear a mask whenever she walks outside to avoid catching Covid.

“Are you still hiding your identity behind that mask for Covid or because you don’t want others to recognize you?” “I had to ask, why are you wearing that mask?” one person inquired as another commented.

“Why are you hiding your face?” a third person asked in their note. whereas several people stated that masks are not required.

Although Michelle did not respond to their questions, supporters did defend her decision, with one of them stating as follows: “The use of masks provides an additional measure of anonymity. And some pollen resistance.”
