Michael Strahan recently shared a heartbreaking update on his 20-year-old daughter Isabella’s health amid her ongoing battle with cancer. As a parent, Strahan faced one of the most challenging experiences when Isabella was diagnosed with cancer last year.

He took a temporary break from hosting Good Morning America to be there for his daughter during this difficult time.

Isabella’s Journey

Isabella’s journey began when she was just 18 years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumor, just a day before her 19th birthday.

Initially, she chose to keep her battle private, but eventually decided to share her journey on social media. She posted a video on YouTube, featuring pictures of her in the hospital with her father by her side.

During her recovery, Isabella’s twin sister Sophia provided support, helping her relearn how to walk and accompanying her through radiation therapy.

Painful Chemotherapy

In a recent vlog on her YouTube channel, Isabella opened up about her experiences with chemotherapy. She bravely described the intense physical pain she endures during her treatment. She compared it to a “heart attack” and expressed the agony she feels in her head, eyes, mouth, and jaw.

Michael’s Update

During his hosting duties on Good Morning America, Michael Strahan shared an update on Isabella’s condition. He revealed that she had experienced a fever over the past three days, leading them to take her to the hospital. While they initially expected her to come home after a few hours, she had to stay for three days. Michael expressed hope that she would be coming home soon.

He acknowledged that Isabella has been facing expected side effects from her chemotherapy treatment at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina. Although it’s difficult for him to see her go through this, he believes that she is a strong young lady who will make it through.
