Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new Netflix series is about to premiere, but before it does, the Duchess of Sussex confirmed what kind of series viewers can expect.

During a talk with Andy Cohen on her most recent Archetypes podcast, the former actress made an off-the-cuff remark about appearing in the popular reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The Real Housewives executive producer joked that if Meghan continued to watch the Housewives TV series, which follows the lives of wealthy women in several US and UK cities, he would create a show centered on her.

When the drama in her own life became too much for her, the Duchess admitted, “I quit watching the Housewives.”

The TV producer informed her that several people had questioned him about Meghan’s interest in joining the popular series after her arrival to Los Angeles. “So, this is my audition for the Real Housewives of Montecito?” J okingly, she questioned.

He said, “You don’t need to audition; the play will be developed around you.” Meghan quickly confirmed that “there would be no reality program” after insisting that her upcoming Netflix project will not be a fly-on-the-wall reality show.

On December 8, Prince Harry and Meghan will premiere their much-anticipated series. The enlightening film, originally titled Chapters, is centered on Meghan and Harry’s ongoing love story. The couple committed to a multi-year, $100 million contract with the industry’s leading streaming service in 2020.

“Our goal will be to generate useful yet inspirational content,” Meghan and Harry remarked at the time. “Making encouraging family programs is also important to us as newlyweds. We can share content that motivates action thanks to Netflix’s unparalleled reach.”

In a recent interview, the Duchess said, “Even if it may not be how we would have presented the story, it’s fantastic to be able to trust a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired with it.” “But that’s not why we’re informing you. Because we trusted them with it, our story will be told through their eyes.”

Despite the royals’ refusal to discuss the contents of their project, Meghan and Harry have announced that their Netflix docuseries would mostly center on their love story.

In an interview with The Cut, the mother of two remarked, “The section of my life I haven’t been able to share, that others haven’t been able to experience, is our love story.”
