Bo, Luke Bryan’s 15-year-old son, is being taught to drive, but it doesn’t appear to be going well. The country singer described the situation bluntly, calling it a “nightmare.”

Bryan informs Katie & Company on Audacy that “He’s 15 and going through the whole learner’s permit nightmare. We are working really hard with him because he is currently not a very good driver.”

Although the “Country On” singer’s son is experienced behind the wheel of other vehicles, it doesn’t appear as if his abilities translate to driving a car.

Bryan continues, “He’s now really frustrated because he believes he knows how to drive, but he has no idea what he’s doing. He believes that he is pretty skilled because he can drive a 4-wheeler or Polaris, but I guarantee you that he is not.”

Caroline, the husband of the country music artist, has also taken on some of the teaching duties. Mama Bryan posted a video to celebrate her kid passing the test for a driver’s license.

She can be heard in the video saying, “Bo just passed his driver’s permit test,” while her younger son Tate rejoices in the backseat.

In a prior joke, Caroline said she would have to take medication to get through these driving lessons.

The singer of “But I Got a Beer in My Hand” has spoken about slowing down his career to spend more time with his family, admitting he hasn’t always managed to balance things perfectly. Bryan works extremely hard to be at home because of his hectic schedule, and he makes the most of it.

“You just try to make your time with them at home count,” he says to Entertainment Tonight.
