Lisa Marie Presley’s 14-year-old twin children may be the focus of a custody battle.

Elvis Presley’s sole child died of a double heart attack late last week, and her ex-husband Michael Lockwood is reportedly declaring that he will not cede custody of the children until “a cold day in hell.” That is the case, according to Presley family sources reported by TMZ.

Finley and Harper Vivienne, who spent most of their childhood under their mother’s care and were present when she died, are now under Lockwood’s care 40% of the time.

According to TMZ, the star’s ex Danny Keough and daughter, Riley, may fight for custody of the children.

If a custody disagreement goes to court, a judge is expected to weigh the children’s preferences for who they want to live with due to their age.

Lockwood, Presley’s fourth husband, divorced in 2016, and they were still in the process when she died last week. He allegedly requested $40,000 in child support each month.

Before Lockwood, the mother of four was married to actors Nicolas Cage, Danny Keough, and Michael Jackson, who died of an overdose in 2009 at 50.

Lockwood petitioned a judge in 2021 to “declare her officially single” after her husband refused to divorce her following a five-year separation.

She became unwell at home, living with her ex-husband Keough, 58. He performed CPR on her while waiting for the paramedics.

Keough’s children include actress Riley Presley, 33, and Lisa Marie’s 27-year-old son Benjamin, who committed suicide in July 2020.

Presley married Keough when she was a teenager at a drug rehab clinic, and the couple divorced a few days before she eloped with Michael Jackson in 1994.

She was also engaged to musician John Oszajca, 48, in 2000 but broke off when she met Nicolas Cage, 59, at a party. The couple filed for divorce in August 2002, just a few months after getting married.

She later married Lockwood, with whom she later divorced in 2006.

Presley died after her family signed a do not resuscitate order in response to a second heart attack she suffered while hospitalized.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must offer the heartbreaking news that she has left us,” Priscilla Presley, 77, wrote of her beautiful daughter Lisa Marie in a statement posted Thursday night.

“She was the zealous, strongest, and loving woman I’d ever known.”
