LeAnn Rimes was only 11 years old when she signed her first record deal, but the singer revealed that she had awful red patches covering 80% of her body when she was six.

When she was two years old, the singer was diagnosed with psoriasis, a skin disease. The condition developed until her entire body was covered, prompting her to try a range of treatments, including steroid creams and pills.

“My entire stomach would be covered in thick scales that caused me pain and bleeding.” LeAnn has previously written for Glamour on how she “felt like I needed to hide for so much of my existence.”

LeAnn, who is now 40, was able to keep her disease under control until 2020, when the stress of dealing with the pandemic caused a flare up.

“Stress is a common trigger for psoriasis, and with so much uncertainty going on, my flare-ups came straight back,” she explained.

LeAnn stated why she felt comfortable displaying her condition in a series of nude photographs published accompanying the essay.

The singer is not afraid to flaunt her body, and she astonished fans in November while on vacation in Hawaii with her husband, Eddie Cibrian. Fans were taken away by her beautiful form, which she flaunted in a leopard print bikini while posing on the sun-drenched beach.

“I take a jump rope with me everywhere I go so that it’s easy to do and it’s easy to perform bodyweight workouts in my dressing room,” LeAnn told Us Weekly of how she keeps in shape.

“My dedication to working out is unshakeable.  I don’t just scribble here and there. When I’m at the gym, I hear people talking on their cellphones. Individuals who believe that their bodies will change must put in the effort.”
