Lance Reddick, well known for his roles as Cedric Daniels on “The Wire” and Charon in the “John Wick” trilogy, died on March 17 at 60. Reddick was discovered at his Los Angeles home in the morning. While the exact cause of death has yet to be revealed, the outlet claims Reddick died of natural causes.

Reddick’s untimely death has inspired some fellow actors to reflect on the longevity and impact of his career. Ben Stiller took to Twitter to add, “Lance Reddick was a stunning and captivating actor. And a lovely person.”

“He appeared in my mother’s play ‘Afterplay’ as Raziel, the waiter turned angel of death. He was flawless in all he did. Nothing has been lost.” Wendell Pierce, an actor, tweeted, “A man of enormous power and grace.”

“He was as talented a musician as he was an actor. The acme of style. A sudden unanticipated severe agonizing bereavement for our artistic family. Unimaginable agony for his own family and loved ones.”

Reddick’s wife, Stephanie Reddick, and his two children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick, whom he shares with his first wife, Suzanne Yvonne Louis, are mourning his death. Reddick wrote something on Instagram the day before he died, and it’s terrible in retrospect.

Lance Reddick posted a series of images on Instagram the day before he died of himself and his pets lying on the couch at home. The message favored Animal League, the “world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization,” It also alluded to the imminent release of Reddick’s film “John Wick: Chapter 4,” in which he co-stars Keanu Reeves.

Reddick captioned the post, “It’s no surprise that I enjoy treating my dogs both on and off the screen. The Official Hard Rock makes it simple by offering a full line of [John Wick Movie] dog gear at Hard Rock Hotels.” The photographs show Reddick and his puppies swarming all over him and kissing his face.

He was a much-loved dog father! Reddick has shared more dog content in the last week, and TMZ reported that he missed the “John Wick” premiere in New York City on March 15, instead posting a video of his pups snoozing on the couch.

It’s unknown whether he missed the premiere due to medical issues, but how much he adored his dogs is evident.
