Korie Robertson stated that her “heart is a wreck” after witnessing her granddaughter Honey James being treated in a hospital for a respiratory condition. Despite her helplessness, the Duck Dynasty mom admitted that her 4-month-old is a warrior.

Honey was admitted to the hospital earlier this week due to the respiratory syncytial virus, according to Sadie Robertson Huff. RSV symptoms are similar to the flu, but they can be fatal in young children, according to the CDC.

Huff stated that the situation was being handled privately by the family, but she decided to speak out because she is aware that the illness affects many other people.

Korie Robertson posted pictures of Sadie and Honey from her hospital bed.

“Watching your grandkids get sick is a whole different level than having your kids get sick,” she captioned the photos.

“Your heart is breaking for that little sick grandchild, not to mention the anxiety and exhaustion you know your baby girl is feeling for her little girl!”

Korie Robertson praised Sadie for handling this difficult situation so well. She’s also pleased that Honey has inherited some of her mother’s tenacity.

“Sadie, you are a fantastic mama!!!!” she wrote. “I love seeing how much you love and care for Honey. She is the most adorable, strongest, and entertaining little angel on the planet!”

The Robertsons have had a number of significant health issues in the last year. COVID-19 was carried by Sadie, Uncle Si, and Korie Robertson. Bella Robertson also suffered from a severe respiratory infection.

“We’ve had a difficult few months due to illness in the family,” Korie wrote on Facebook. “We are hoping for a reversal and a long period of good health for all of our large and small children.”

Sadie Robertson Huff claimed that she had cried more in the last week than at any other time in her life. However, it has increased the happiness of the small pleasures. This is the 24-year-first old’s complex illness with her four-month-old daughter.

“Even though the situation was far from over,” Sadie expressed hope.

On Instagram, Sadie Robertson wrote, “The last few days have been tough.”

“One of the most upsetting things is watching your child become ill. When I see her little struggle, I cry as I’ve never cried before, but seeing her courage makes me smile as I’ve never smiled before. I have an undeniable crush on this girl.”

“Her courageous and kind fighter attitude makes us laugh even when we want to cry. The nurses’ and doctors’ love for her, as well as their amusement at her foolishness despite her illness, have brightened a dark room. Unfortunately, it is not yet completed, but we have hope for the future!”
