The much-awaited Season 3 of The Kardashians is finally here, bringing exciting news from Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson. They have finally revealed the name of their 9-month-old son! The 38-year-old socialite previously confirmed that her baby’s name would start with a ‘T’, just like his sister, True Thompson.
During the season premiere, Khloe revealed the name in a heartwarming moment. “His name is Tatum,” she said. Khloe also mentioned that choosing a name for her baby was not an easy task but she is delighted that she has maintained the Kardashian tradition of having children with names that begin with the same letter. She proudly announced, “So, Tatum and True.”
However, what Khloe didn’t reveal at that particular moment is that Tristan’s full name wasn’t always Tatum Thompson. Initially, it was Tatum Kardashian. As reported by Mamas Uncut, just before Tatum was born via a surrogate, news of Tristan’s infidelity broke, which understandably angered Khloe. As a result, TMZ reports that Khloe initially documented Tatum’s full name as Tatum Kardashian when she brought him home from the hospital. But later on, Khloe changed her mind, and now Tatum Thompson is her son’s full legal name. What a surprising twist!
Khloe and Tristan welcomed Tatum in July 2022 through surrogacy. He was conceived in November 2021, just a month before Tristan had a son with Maralee Nichols, which ultimately led to Khloe breaking up with him. Although the couple is no longer together, they are committed to co-parenting their children seriously. Khloe recently shared photos of Tristan with both their kids and praised him, saying, “You are the best father.”
Over the past nine months, Khloe has done an excellent job of keeping Tatum out of the public eye. Although not much is known about the little guy, we do know that family and friends have already given him a nickname – Tate. Some family members even think he looks like his uncle, Rob Kardashian.
In an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April, Khloe explained why she kept Tatum’s name a secret. Initially, she didn’t have a name for him and wanted to get to know him before giving him one. She finally decided on a name quite some time ago but chose to keep it a secret. One major reason for that was to reveal the name during the Season 3 premiere. However, Khloe had no idea the premiere was so far away, which made it feel like we were waiting forever for the name reveal. But now that the premiere is here, the name has finally been unveiled!
Khloe affectionately describes Tatum as a little chunk and wouldn’t have it any other way. She loves chubby babies and is grateful to have been blessed with a happy and content baby boy. “He is a quiet baby. He’s a happy baby, which is amazing – and my daughter was the same, so I’ve been lucky twice,” she said during her interview with Jennifer Hudson in April.

She has already debunked this idea multiple times over the past year and is tired of hearing about it since she has moved on.
Regarding her recent appearance at a Los Angeles Lakers’ game to support Thompson, Khloe explained that some things are just as simple as they seem. She clarified that her presence was merely that of a family member supporting another family member, especially during a difficult time in life. So, no, they are not getting back together!
