Kelly Clarkson stirred a major reaction among followers after posting a mysterious remark on her social media platforms.

The singer rushed to Twitter to offer an emoji-only post, which included a red wine emoji, a shattered heart, and a sunlight emoji. She also appended three symbols to the end of her Twitter handle, screenshotting and sharing the message to Instagram.

Kelly’s post sparked a frenzy among her followers, with many guessing in the comments section that her new album is finally on the way.

“DROP THE ALBUM AHHH,” one user remarked, while another added, “The album’s coming!!!”

According to one fan, Kelly previously used the three emojis to represent her next album during an episode of her NBC daytime show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. “A while back on the @kellyclarksonshow, she said these are the three emojis representing her forthcoming album… IT’S FINALLY COMING! TIME FOR A NEW KELLY ERA,” they commented, adding, “That’s how she characterized her album! I’m excited about the new Kelly era!!! Let’s get started!”

Kelly announced her intention to release new music in September of last year, telling Variety that her emotional journey inspired her upcoming songs during her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children, River Rose, eight, and Remington Alexander, six.

“There were numerous feelings when my ex and I initially separated. That was difficult,” the 40-year-old admitted at the time. “Last night, my producer and I were giggling because I was like, ‘Remember that time we wrote like 25 songs in a week?’” A lot of those are included in the album.

“I wrote the majority of these nearly two years ago. So I told my label, ‘I can’t talk about this until I’ve gone through it,’ which took some time. That’s one of the reasons we’ve done so much Christmas stuff in the last two years — I was like, ‘Well, that’s happy!’”

In a January Instagram post announcing her album, she appeared to refer to her divorce. “I’m going, to be honest with you, it took a minute for me to release this album because I just had to be over it, through it, like all around it,” she told fans. I have to go past it to discuss it.”

The enigmatic remark comes just days after the star paid respect to John Wick actor Lance Reddick ahead of his participation in Thursday’s episode, which was taped before his untimely death.
