Husband of Jessica Hahn, Secretary in Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker Scandal, Files for Divorce

Jessica Hahn, the secretary in the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker scandal, and her husband have announced their divorce.

Lloyd is demanding that their legal fees be divided equally and that their right to spousal support from one another be waived. Lloyd claims that despite their marriage in 2009, he and Hahn have been apart since 2018.

The former Playboy model shocked the world in 1987 when she alleged that Jim raped her when she was 21 years old in 1980, despite the fact that the former couple had kept their relationship relatively private. Later on, he would admit to having intercourse with her, but he would say that it was consensual.

Hahn came forward after the Charlotte Observer began investigating Jim and Tammy Faye’s finances. At the time, the two were supposedly well-known for their multimillion-dollar PTL conglomerate of Christian-based businesses.

In addition to a Christian television network, the South Carolina-based corporation operates a theme park, a water park, and a housing development.

Among the newspaper’s revelations was that Jim made a $279,000 payment to Jessica, who was working as a church secretary at the time. Bakker was convicted of 24 charges of fraud. After nearly five years in prison, he was released.

In a 2020 interview, she told the Charlotte Observer about her experiences after the scandal: “I go out and sometimes people, rarely, but once they hear my name, they’re like, ‘Oh.’ I’m humiliated. I was never ashamed before. Because the reality of it all hit me.”
