In a statement shared on April 18, Cristiano said their baby boy passed away during birth. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”

While Ronaldo didn’t go into detail as to what happened to their baby boy, Ronaldo continued, writing, “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.”

Ronaldo concluded his statement, saying, “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Cristiano and Georgina share four other children together. Their twins were their fifth and sixth children.

“Family is everything,” the soccer legend wrote alongside a video of a pregnant Georgina and his four oldest children. He also added the hashtag “proud.”
On December 16, 2021, Ronaldo posted a video of his four oldest kids learning the genders of the twins they were expecting. “Where life begins and love never ends,” he captioned the video.
Cristiano and Georgina first announced they were expecting twins in October 2021. He shared a photo of him and his wife holding ultrasound photos, along with the caption, “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love. We can’t wait to meet you.”
Rodriguez is currently the star of the reality show I Am Georgina, which premiered on Netflix in January. It’s unclear if the mom of 5 will share the details of what happened to their baby boy during the newest episodes of her show.
