Garrison Brown, the beloved 25-year-old son of Sister Wives stars Janelle and Kody Brown, has tragically passed away, leaving his family and fans in deep mourning. Our hearts ache as we join them in honoring his memory.
Janelle took to Instagram to share the devastating news: “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy, Robert Garrison Brown. He brought so much joy to everyone’s lives.” She went on to say, “The void left by his absence is overwhelming. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time as we cherish his memory.” Kody also shared the same statement on his Instagram page, expressing his grief.
According to Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department, officers responded to a report of a death inside Garrison’s home. His brother Gabriel, 22, discovered him lifeless, and while the investigation is ongoing, there is currently no evidence of foul play.
TLC, the network behind Sister Wives, also extended their heartfelt condolences to the Brown family, saying, “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Brown family during this time of profound grief.”
Introduced to fans in 2010 through Sister Wives, Garrison was a cherished member of the polygamist family led by Kody and Janelle. He joined siblings Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah in sharing their unique lives with the world. Janelle had previously announced her separation from Kody in December 2022, becoming the second wife to leave after Christine. Meri also later left, leaving Robyn as Kody’s sole remaining wife.
In recent years, there have been tension and disagreement between Kody and his children, particularly Gabriel and Garrison. Garrison had expressed dissatisfaction with Kody’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, feeling unheard and misunderstood by his father. Concerns about the mental health of Janelle’s sons had also been expressed, with Gabriel’s strong emotions and Garrison’s noticeable change in demeanor raising alarm.
