The photograph was taken by medical student Joyce Gilos Torrefranca in Cebu, which is located in the Philippines. She uploaded it to Facebook and captioned it with the phrase “I was motivated by a child.”

She explained the reason to Rappler.

“As a student, it served as motivation for me to put in further effort. It’s a blessing that my parents could afford to put me through college.

I don’t normally study in public places like coffee shops, but this young man simply hit me. You really don’t need that much; all you have to do is be motivated and focused on the things that you want to accomplish in order to be successful.”

“It is my sincere wish that this youngster would serve as motivation for millions of people.”

Daniel Cabrera, who is nine years old, is the kid, and he picked that location because it allows him to see his work in the finest light.

After Daniel’s father passed away, his family found themselves in a tough financial situation. Today, he lives with his mother, Christina Espinosa, and his younger brother Gabriel in a food stand that is located nearby. Christina works there. Gabriel is seven years old.

Rappler was informed by the manager of a McDonald’s that the two brothers sometimes stand outside and ask for money.

The employees are familiar with them and typically offer them water; in addition, they have assured the children that they would be rewarded with toys if they perform well in class.

“Toy shopping is on Daniel’s agenda. I told him that we would give him and his brother some toys if he was able to show us a piece of paper with a star on it, and he believed me “restaurant manager Iris Prak stated

It is plain to see that Daniel places a high value on his studies. When asked about the reason he carries a rosary with him, he responded that he does so in order to safeguard the only pencil he owns, which was taken from him by a classmate.

And he aspires to do great things:

“I have this idea that I want to work in law enforcement….

As for me, I’m interested in the medical field.”
