Given that the British royal family is one of the most well-known families in the world, it is understandable that the general public is interested in every aspect of their private lives.

Living under the scrutiny of the paparazzi and the media isn’t accessible, and Harry and Meghan are the most aware of this.

Indeed, the Prince claimed that this was one of the factors that influenced their decision to immigrate to the United States. Harry frequently blamed the paparazzi for his mother’s misery, and he didn’t want his wife to endure the same ordeal.

The couple now leads a quieter life and keeps their children out of the spotlight.

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, and Harry and Meghan posed with him in front of the Portland Hospital in London, as is customary.

“Today, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family,” the Sussexes said in a statement.

Later, Harry and Meghan traveled to South Africa and met Archbishop Desmond Tutu. “Thank you, Archbishop Tutu, for your incredibly warm hospitality; Archie loved meeting you!” they captioned a series of photos of their son on Instagram.

However, that changed when the six-part Netflix documentary about Harry and Meghan aired. The Sussexes gave people from all over the world an intimate look into their family life at their home in Montecito, California, previously described as “Fort Knox,” and security is tight.

With that said, fans could also get a closer look at Archie and Lilibet.

Archie, the older sibling, stole the show several times, and viewers heard him speak for the first time.

In one scene, the father and son are seen from their patio, watching the birth. As they waited to see the hummingbirds, Harry asked Archie to be quiet so he could hear the sounds of nature.

“We’ll never get this close to hummingbirds again,” Harry told Archie.

Archie, being a toddler, did the opposite and began speaking in a loud voice. He could be heard saying at one point, “I’ve got a dirty foot, mama, because I was with you,” which made his parents laugh.

“You have a dirty foot, sweetheart,” Meghan responded. “Papa is a birdwatcher, so this is a big deal for him.”

There were plenty of other beautiful family photos and videos in the series, including one in which Harry rests on Meghan’s baby bump. Meghan and Archie were then seen feeding their chickens while Harry pushed Lili in a baby stroller.

The cutest photo is Harry and Archie posing under an umbrella, with the little one wearing a knitted hooded jumper with bear ears. There was another photo of Archie that made people cry. He was seen gazing at a photograph of his late grandmother, Princess Diana.

The documentary also included another short video of Archie. It showed a lovely sunset with Meghan asking him what he thought.

“Well, it’s all done, lovely,” he says.

And, as much as many people thought Archie was adorable, they couldn’t help but comment on how he speaks or, more accurately, his accent. He has adopted an American accent.

“Not Archie having the most adorable American accent,” one Twitter user commented.

“Does Prince Archie have an American accent? “I had no idea what to expect from him, but it was not that,” a second person tweeted.

Experts discussed the possibility of Archie speaking with an American accent, which is expected given his constant interaction with local children. This does not preclude him from being able to switch between accents as he grows older.

“If Archie’s first experience mixing with other kids is in a Los Angeles preschool, he will develop a Californian US accent,” linguist and emeritus professor of general linguistics Geoffrey Pullum of the University of Edinburgh explained.

“He may learn to speak like an American kid in California but be able to switch to a British accent when he visits England,” Berko Gleason, an emerita professor of language acquisition at Boston University, added.

The Sussexes may be making headlines with their series and Harry’s book Spare, released two weeks ago, but they appear to be living their lives to the fullest.
