Hallstatt is a very beautiful and relaxing village in Austria, bordered by the lake of the same name and the mountains, a picturesque village, a real treasure of Austria.
The easiest way to get there is by car from Salzburg, in about an hour, a very easy and pleasant road.
There is a funicular that takes you to the most representative areas of Hallstat, called Skywalk, a huge platform located 360 m above the ground, where you will find some of the most beautiful views in the world. The whole lake will be shown to you in all its splendor, surrounded by majestic mountains, at the base of which will be a wonderful village that you will look forward to discovering. The experience with the funicular will cost you 18 euros / person, but it worth it.
You can stop for a coffee on one of the wonderful lakeside terraces or take a walk on the lake, which is not to be missed if you arrive here. You can rent a boat, and a half-hour walk on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world brings you sensational views and well-deserved relaxation 😊. A half-hour walk on Lake Hallstatt costs 10 euros per person.
Hallstatt seems to be an unreal place, predestined to be a work of art. It is a tourist place, nothing to say, however absolutely nothing reduces its charm and beauty. Set in a magical setting, the whole place will tell you a story, a story of nature that you will not be able to forget.
On the way to the center of Hallstatt you will be able to admire wooden houses specific to the Austrian mountain area, with flowers on balconies and local shops with all kinds of souvenirs. You will be able to admire a beautiful waterfall springing from the mountains and visit it if the weather allows.
The center is very elegantly surrounded by chic multicolored houses. Swans, floating on the lake, complete this idyllic picture.
If you spend several days in Austria, it would be great to spend the night here, to enjoy the peace and magic of this place without the hustle and bustle of tourists.
