Sometimes life takes us down routes we never expected to travel. Frank Fritz was a beloved television character, but he was going through a lot in his personal life.

This is his heartbreaking story…

Frank Fritz’s longterm lover was Diann Bankson. His terrible separation with her resulted in alcoholism, unemployment, and even a health scare. The two have finally parted ways, but their time together has left permanent marks on both of them.

Frank Fritz, the host of “American Pickers,” was 25 years old when he met Diann Bankson. The couple dated on and off before getting engaged in 2017. They moved in together a year later, in 2018, after purchasing an Iowa farmhouse.

However, their relationship took a turn for the worst in November of the same year when Fritz said he had “walked in” on Bankson and “found him in bed with another man.”

Fritz said in an interview that Bankson had cheated on him and even got a tattoo to remind him of her ‘betrayal.’ But he stated that he still desired to marry her.

“I was planning to marry, I got a house and a large expensive ring, and then I discovered my fiancée had been dating someone else for two and a half years,” Fritz explained.

“She’s the cheater, which is why I got a tattoo that says ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,’” Fritz remarked, adding that he got the tattoo as a reminder not to make “the same mistake again.” He also stated that Bankson “cost” him a lot of money.

He began drinking to soothe his broken heart. That was how he dealt with his heartbreak, he added. He also lost a lot of weight as a result of this. “I gave it my best try,” Fritz added. “I attempted to drink her away.”

While overcoming his drinking issue, he decided not to date for a while because his previous relationship with Bankson had “stung hard enough.”

He also experienced professional losses following the separation. According to the Sun, he longer hosts “American Pickers” on the History Channel after March 2020.

Fritz indicated that his absence was due to his health, and that after his back surgery healed, he intended to return to the show. “I’d like to return to the show,” Fritz stated. ” I’m fully recovered now, and I’m eager to go back on the program.”

Fritz stated that the show has not made a firm decision on whether or not to bring him back. He did, however, reveal that a showrunner had called him and promised to get him back on television.

Despite having worked on the show for a decade, the show has “no intentions” to again employ Fritz as a host, according to TMZ.

In addition to not appearing on his show again, his ex-lover Bankson debuted her new guy, Eric Longlett, an Engineering Administration Manager. She gushed about him on social media, saying how fortunate she was to be with him.

“He took me to watch Elton John’s Yellow Brick Road Farewell Tour,” she said in a caption after Longlett accompanied her to see him play. ” I’m a really fortunate young lady. I adore you, Babe oxo.”

Fritz was brought to the hospital for a stroke on July 4, 2022. His acquaintance had spotted him on the floor of his house and sought assistance. The US Sun obtained the 911 call in which his companion stated, “he might be seizuring, I’m not sure.”

Fritz’s father, Bill Fritz, told the press that his son was improving and recuperating nicely.

However, his recuperation was not as complete as physicians had hoped. When he was discharged from the hospital, he was sent to a nursing facility and placed under supervision.

According to sources, on August 18, 2022, his “longtime buddy” filed an emergency appointment for temporary guardianship and conservatorship for him, which was later approved.

His acquaintance was named guardian, and the bank was named conservator to supervise his finances.

As his conservator, the bank would manage payments to his care facility, such as daily expenses, health insurance, maintenance, and property taxes. The bank would be responsible for ensuring that he had appropriate transportation for activities and medical appointments.

As his guardian, his friend has been “in decision-making since the stroke” and was required to prepare a “initial care plan” for him as part of the requirements for being his guardian.

As he recovers and is able to “get treatment for his injuries,” his guardian must make decisions on his behalf.

The court agreed that Fritz needs a guardian to prevent additional harm to his health. “The appointment of a guardian and conservator is required to prevent imminent harm to him,” the court ruled.

This is a heartbreaking story. We wish Frank Fritz the best of health and healing.
