In the most recent episode of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy Slaton mourned the loss of her best friend.

Amy and Tammy Slaton are the two sisters from the reality show 1000-lb Sisters, but this week on the show, they lost their sidekick and best friend.

Amy’s dog Little Bit suddenly passed away in April of last year, but it was revealed on the show for the first time this week.

According to Amy’s memorial Instagram post, Little Bit was born in 2000, making the pup 22 years old when she passed away.

Amy picked Little Bit up from “Granny’s house,” once the pup was in the car, she fell over and wasn’t breathing.

Amy’s husband, Michael tried to wake the dog up but was unsuccessful.

Amy said: “Little Bit was practically my daughter. She might not have been human, but she was my daughter.”

When remembering, Amy told about when Little Bit led her down the aisle at her wedding and when she ate a whole piece of lasagna.

Amy also revealed that Little Bit was Tammy’s “girlfriend,” and Amy’s anxious about how Tammy will take the loss. She said: “Tammy’s gonna be devastated.”

Later in the episode, Amy tells Tammy the bad news. Tammy expressed her heartbreak after hearing the news, saying, “My heart stopped for her.”

Tammy was in rehab when Little Bit died, so she could not say goodbye.

Amy and Michael held a memorial service for the particular dog, which was buried in their backyard so the family could pay their respects to her.

R.I.P. LITTLE BIT

Following losing their beloved family pet, Twitter users rallied around the Slaton family, showering them with love and support.

“Lil bit was soooo sweet,” one user wrote. May her soul find peace. I am over here grieving over a dog I never met. That’s precisely how special she was. “My heart goes to Amy and her family, who adored Little Bit.”

Another said: “Disappointing to hear that Lil’ Bit passed away!! She was a fantastic family dog!”

“Awww, Little Bit crossed the rainbow bridge,” wrote a third.

Amy mourned the loss of her dog, but she has two young sons to fill the void.

In the previous episode of the TLC show, Amy went to the doctor to find out the sex of her second kid.

Amy was hoping for a girl, but she was pregnant with a son named Glenn.

Amy said Glenn was born via a C-section on July 5, 2022.

The trailer for season four depicts a pregnant Amy being hurried to the hospital, yet the new momma’s social media reveals that she and the baby are alive and happy.

The newborn, Glenn Allen Halterman, weighed 5lbs 11oz and measured 17.5 inches long at birth.

Amy said: “The wait is finally over… Michael and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman.”

“The delivery went extremely well, and I now have both miraculous sons; our family is complete!”

Amy’s first son, Gage Deon Halterman, was born on November 10, 2020
