Tara Reid was one of Hollywood’s top stars in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Reid became a global celebrity after her breakout performance in the 1999 film “American Pie.” Reid was pushed into the spotlight, yet it all appeared to pass in the blink of an eye.

Reid’s name was in the headlines for the wrong reasons every time, transforming her from the “girl next door” to a full-fledged party animal.

Reid’s E! show, “Taradise,” which ultimately failed and damaged her reputation, was made possible by the coverage surrounding her nightlife.

Despite rumors of a comeback, people are still remembering Reid’s time in the spotlight more than a decade ago and what exactly happened to cause her career to fail in the first place.

Tara Reid’s plastic surgery sparked debate.

Reid claims that the liposuction and breast augmentation operations that left her disfigured ruined her career.

When asked how her plastic surgery had changed her appearance, she reportedly remarked, “My tummy became the most ripply, bulgy thing. My belly button was surrounded by a big protrusion caused by a hernia. As a result, I couldn’t wear a bikini. Much of my effort was wasted.”

Reid not only failed to find work, but her plastic surgery went viral after a wardrobe malfunction at Diddy’s 35th birthday party in 2004, leaving the actress “devastated.”

“When I discovered what it was, I sobbed and asked the photographers not to print it, but it was everywhere.” She said, “I was featured on numerous websites as having the ugliest boobs in the world.”

Tara Reid has been dubbed a “party girl.”

Reid candidly discussed being bullied in Hollywood and being mislabeled as a party girl.

“I took a few days off from work.” “That was incredibly frustrating,” Reid said. “It bothered me that people thought I was just a party girl, which wasn’t the reality. Receiving a penalty for having fun made no sense.”

In an interview, the “Sharknado” actress emphasized that most of what was said about her in the media was never true; rather, it was a perception.

Reid said of several of her coworkers, including Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, “They were all in jail, they all did f**king sex tapes, crazy sht.”

She said that she was always on time and that she never had any problems on set. (The only time she was late to a set was in 2018, when she was three hours late for filming 5th Borough due to being thrown off a flight for “disturbance.”)

“There’s nothing like that about me,” she added.

She was nominated several times for worst actress.

Reid struggled to be taken seriously as an actor, which was worsened when the roles she did land received “Worst Actress” nominations.

Reid was nominated for many Razzle awards after her success from “American Pie” began to diminish.

The Razzie Awards, also known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, are satirical awards given to actors and films for shortcomings and flaws.

Reid received her first two nominations for Worst Supporting Actress and Worst Screen Couple for her parts in the 2003 film “My Boss’s Daughter.”

Reid was nominated for Worst Actress for her portrayal in the 2005 horror film “Alone in the Dark.”

With the exception of one Young Hollywood Award for Best Ensemble Cast for “American Pie,” the film also earned her a Stinker Award for Worst Actress, which she claims was her only award.

Reid said that her reality show has flaws.

Reid was chosen as the new host of E’WildOn !’s in 2005, a trip program that effectively tracked her partying activities from England to Croatia.

After filming was completed, the name of the show was changed from “Wild On” to “Taradise.”

Unfortunately, the show was canceled after only one season, with Reid ayings that it was the “craziest thing I ever did,” according to CBS News. I had no idea that would ruin my career.”

Reid was accused of fabricating romantic connections in order to garner attention.

Nicki Swift alleges Tara Reid and Zack Kehayov married soon after they became engaged.

Reid tweeted that she and her husband had recently been engaged while on vacation in Greece in 2011, and a few hours later she revealed that they had married there.

Reid was previously engaged to businessman Michael Axtmann in 2010, but the engagement was called off without explanation just four months into their relationship and one month before their wedding.

While leaving LAX in October 2011, the actress revealed to TMZ that her marriage to Kehayov was a fake and never happened.

Reid engaged into another phony relationship in 2016 in order to save her job.

Reid revealed that she and her “boyfriend,” Dean May, were not dating at the time they featured on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.”

“[May] owes money and taxes and he could use the money and he wouldn’t mind the celebrity… so I wanted to conduct the program for him,” explained the show’s producer.

Tara Reid gave up her sobriety after treatment.

Reid joined Promises, a celebrity rehab clinic, in 2008 in an attempt to transform her life.

“I didn’t like the person I was,” Reid revealed after completing a 60-day program. “I was crushed and torn on the inside. I traveled there by myself. I went there on my own. My decision was the best one I’d ever made. Rehabilitation saved my life.”
