Dolly Parton has essentially accomplished everything there is to achieve in the music industry.

And yet, the legend of country music continues to seek opportunities to stretch herself and widen her definition of magnificent.

According to sources, Dolly’s first-ever rock album will finally be released, and fans worldwide are ecstatic! You might recall that the 77-year-old refused the nomination because she believed she hadn’t “earned the right” to be inducted into the Hollywood Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the previous year.

Even though Dolly eventually allowed her in, it seems like she’s anxious to disprove any claims to the contrary. We already learned that Dolly would release a rock album to mark her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now we know when that will be!

According to insiders, Parton was initially apprehensive about being considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame entry. According to reports, the singer Jolene felt that other genres would be a better fit since country music has dominated her career.

But in the end, the people had their say, and they determined that Dolly belonged there. Following her induction into the Hall of Fame in November 2022, she immediately set out to ensure that her selection was appropriate.

Now that Dolly has confirmed the name of her upcoming rock album will be “Rockstar” and that it will be released on November 17, her new rock album is one step closer to being a reality.

According to rumors, the album contains 30 songs in all, nine of which are original. The remaining 21 are joint efforts with other musicians and include updated versions of songs made famous by the featured performer. For instance, the album will show a new rendition of Sting’s Every Breath You Take and Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball.

Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Steven Tyler are the other illustrious guests scheduled to appear on the album.

Dolly spoke to The View earlier this year and expressed her thoughts on being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

“I didn’t feel I had earned it, but after hearing their justification for putting me in it, I decided to accept it if they insisted on delivering it.”

However, “I’m going to have to do something to earn it if I’m going to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”

Dolly reportedly stated to Billboard that she was “honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest famous singers and musicians of all time, and to be able to sing all the legendary songs throughout the album was a delight beyond measure.

“I hope everyone likes the album as much as I’ve liked putting it together,” the artist said.

I’m overjoyed to see Dolly still creating music and taking pride in her craft at 77!
