Dad Covered in Tattoos Changes for Daughter’s Sake

We’ve all made choices in our livesโ€”some we aren’t quite proud of, and others we might want to forget. But not many of us have worn our regrets as visibly as Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, an intriguing figure from Australia who has adorned his entire body with over 200 tattoos.

These days, tattoos have become a trendy way for people to express themselves. Many choose unique and creative designs as a form of personal artistry. But while many of us stop short of covering every inch of our bodies, Ethan went the extra mile to make a statement.

Ethan’s journey with body modifications began at a tender age. At just 11 years old, he started by stretching his ears. Over the years, he has explored numerous body alterations, even to the extent of having his tongue split and his belly button removed.

However, it’s his extensive tattoo collection that captures the most attention. It’s no wonder, given that his entire body, from head to toe, is inked. According to Ethan, he’s invested around $60,000 AUD (approximately $39,000 USD) into his distinctive look.

Recently, however, Ethan has started to express some regret over the choices he made in the past. In a candid interview with LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, he spoke about his changing perspective.

“I guess you could say I regret some tattoos,” Ethan shared. “Not just regret; I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be perceived differently.”

His concern extends beyond personal feelings to include the potential judgments he might face during routine activities, such as accompanying his young daughter to school.

“The face is a big thing that can lead to so manyโ€”for some people, not everyoneโ€”can lead to a lot of problems for yourself, which I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with until she was a bit older,” he explained.

“I wish that I had not gone as hectic as I did on my face,” he admitted.

In light of his reflections, Ethan has embarked on a journey to adjust his appearance, primarily to ease the societal pressures his tattoos could impose on his family. He’s been enduring the discomfort of laser treatments to erase some of the more complex tattoos from his youth.

Ethan detailed his experience with the laser removal process: “I’ve been getting laser [surgery] or have been, for pretty much 12 monthsโ€ฆ We do it in sections, but I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times.”

He continued: “I started getting it done because of the anxiety and stuff I was gettingโ€ฆ Mental stuff is a funny thing to pin down, but I want to think that a lot of the anxiety was from just having a face full of tattoos.”

Despite his fondness for the look he crafted for himself, Ethan is content with the gradual reduction of his face tattoos. “I’m happy with the way that I look, but I’m also happy with the mentality that over the next two years, my face tattoos are going to become less and less and less. I’m just clearing the canvas,” he said.

Ethanโ€™s tale is a reminder of how our past choices can impact the present, and how the desire to be seen differently can motivate personal change. What do you think about Ethanโ€™s journey and transformation?
