Lauren, a former American Idol contestant, bravely disclosed this heartbreaking news to her fans on Wednesday. Her Instagram post began with the words, “We lost my dad last night, and I really don’t have words yet.”
She further explained that she would be returning home to be with her family, which meant she would not be able to perform the three shows she had scheduled for the weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte. She concluded her message by expressing gratitude for the support and understanding of her fans.
