New photo of 68-year-old Bruce Willis upsets fans

It’s been a challenging journey for Bruce Willis since his diagnosis of aphasia, a condition that affects communication abilities, forcing him to step away from the spotlight. Unfortunately, it has now been revealed that the iconic Die Hard star is also battling dementia.

Bruce’s daughter, Rumer Willis, took to social media to express her family’s gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support they have received. In her post, she revealed, “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed, and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”

Understandably, fans are concerned about Bruce’s well-being. Emma, his devoted wife and caretaker, has been sharing updates on his condition, shedding light on their journey. During an appearance on the Today show for World Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Week, Emma discussed the challenges they face.

When asked if Bruce is aware of his condition, Emma admitted, “It’s hard to know.” Dementia takes a toll not only on the person diagnosed but also on their family – and Bruce’s situation is no exception. As Emma explained, “When they say this is a family disease, it really is.”

Emma also shared her perspective on the importance of understanding the diagnosis. “I think it was the blessing and the curse, to finally understand what was happening, so I can be into the acceptances of what it is,” she said. Acceptance doesn’t alleviate the pain, but it does provide some solace in knowing what Bruce is going through.
