'American Pickers' Star Frank Fritz Passes Away at 60

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Frank Fritz, beloved star of the hit show “American Pickers.” Frank, who dedicated his life to searching for hidden treasures across America, passed away at the age of 60 after a long illness.

According to a post on Fritz’s friends’ Facebook page, the news of his passing is a difficult one to make. Frank’s co-star and long-time friend Mike Wolfe expressed his deep sadness and shared with fans that Frank was not only a remarkable individual but also an incredibly kind-hearted and genuine person.

In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Wolfe described Frank as a “dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny.” Frank’s authentic personality touched the hearts of many, both on and off the screen. Over the years, he appeared in 308 episodes of the popular reality show on the History Channel, capturing the imaginations of viewers with his adventurous spirit and love for uncovering hidden gems.

“American Pickers” offered a unique twist to the world of antique hunting. Unlike the formal evaluations on “Antiques Roadshow,” Frank and Mike embarked on road trips, venturing into basements, attics, and closets, searching for forgotten treasures that held sentimental and historical value. Their friendship and passion for uncovering these hidden gems created a captivating and entertaining show.

Frank’s presence had been more limited in recent times due to a debilitating stroke that occurred in 2022. However, his impact on the show and his fellow cast members remains immeasurable. The History Channel and “Pickers” producer Cineflix Production released a joint statement, acknowledging Frank’s contribution to the show and emphasizing their remembrance of him as “the bearded charmer” who tirelessly pursued vintage motorcycles and bikes.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and condolences go out to Frank’s loved ones. His legacy as a kindhearted dreamer, a man who brought joy to countless lives through his adventures and discoveries, will always be remembered.

Rest in peace, Frank Fritz. You will be deeply missed!
